Circles
Tires are always circular no matter what. This conic can be observed in this example because all the points have the same distance from the center and is in a round shape. People see tires on cars or wheels on wagons, carts, etc.
Circles are significant in this example because without circles, people would not be able to transportate. Had tires not been circular, the wheels would not be able to roll in a circular motion allowing the car itself to move from place to place. The reason why tires must always be in the shape of a circle is because all the points have the same distance from the center. Take a hexagon for example. If tires were in a hexagon shape, the car would not be able to go at a quick speed without the car going up and down, bouncing on each and every side of the hexagonal shape. Even then, people cannot be too sure that any other shape of tire would even work! Without this conic, everybody would be affected because people use cars to go to school, work, get togethers, restaurants, and just about anywhere else one could possibly think of!
Quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies are all circular as well! This conic can be identified again by comparing the center to all the other points. In every case, the points will all be the same distance away from the center. Whether we see loose change on the counter or in between the sofa, lucky pennies on streets, or just receive change, people always observe coins. Coins can also be found in restaurants, all types of stores, arcades, etc.
People hardly ever question why a coin is not a different shape, perhaps a square or even a triangle. Well, in any case, it is actually tremendously significant that coins stay circular as it is not only a convience but it is unharmful. Not only are circuluar shapes easy to grasp, but these round smooth edges ensure that nobody will cut their hands open. With a round shape, coins do not wear out or become damaged. Had they been in a square shape, the corners most likely would degrade within years, causing the goverment to pay for the reproduction of new coins. It is also significant that they are in a circle shape as for the convience of manufacturing. These circle shapes allow a balanced heat cooling. Without the production of circular coins, the goverment would lose money because of the degradation of other shaped coins. The goverment pays two cents to create one penny. Again, by creating circular coins, the government can ensure themselves the coins will last longer.
CDS are also circular and usually have at least two circles on them. This can again be observed because all the points are equidistant from the center. CDS are found in all forms. They can contain music files, videos, work files, program downloads, movies, video games — the list goes on! They can be found just about any where whether it be at home or at places such as Best Buy and Game Stop (a video game store).
In this example, it is very important that a CD is circular because otherwise the DVD player or wherever the disk is inserted will not be able to be read. This would effect a countless amount of people because of how often CDS are used. By having a circular shape, the "eye reader" moves in a circular motion by sitting on the x-axis. CDS cannot be other shapes like squares because the "eye reader" would not be able to find the certain part of the disk that contains information as it would not be capable of making a 90 degree turn. This is because squares have right angles. This simple object allows people to download programs like Microsoft. Had CDS never existed because nobody ever thought to make them in a round shape, it is possible that the program would not be so famous as the distribution of the product would be extremely difficult. Other buisnesses like RedBox would also not be popular as the whole company deals with renting out DVDS.
